The Program Support Specialist I assists with the delivery and support of recreational programs, special events, and facility operations. This entry-level, part-time position plays a key role in helping ensure participants have a positive and safe experience in youth athletics, special events, cultural programs, summer camps, and facility rentals. Description
The Program Support Specialist I assists with the delivery and support of recreational programs, special events, and facility operations. This entry-level, part-time position plays a key role in helping ensure participants have a positive and safe experience in youth athletics, special events, cultural programs, summer camps, and facility rentals. Examples of Duties Duties:
- Provide on-site support for recreational programs including setup, check-in, and basic supervision.
- Assist staff with organizing equipment, materials, and supplies for activities.
- Greet and assist program participants, parents, and patrons.
- Perform light administrative tasks such as data entry, attendance tracking, and distributing information.
- Help maintain cleanliness and safety of program areas and facilities.
- Support special events through logistics, crowd guidance, and participant engagement.
- Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and the public in a courteous manner.
- Follow all department policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Must be 15 years old or older.
- Previous customer service or recreation experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Indoor and outdoor recreational settings.
