Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Neuro)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a high-volume OR environment handling 75–90 cases per day across 28 operating rooms
• Scrub and/or circulate on neuro and orthopedic spine cases ranging from simple single-level fusions to complex multi-level deformity corrections, spine tumors, craniotomies, neurovascular, and neuro trauma procedures
• Participate in a call rotation including weekday call (2 eight-hour shifts per schedule, 2330–0700) and weekend call (3 twelve-hour shifts per schedule, 0700–1930 or 1900–0730) with a 45-minute response time
• Float to other service lines within the Tower OR as needed
• Provide support during multiple trauma events when the neuro/craniotomy call team is activated
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma OR
• Strong neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy experience, including complex cases
• Availability for call shifts including holidays (1 major, 1 minor per contract cycle)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RN scrubbing experience and demonstrated scrub skills in neuro/spine cases
• Experience with neurovascular and neuro trauma procedures
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
