Description: Cath Lab Tech for a community hospital with two Cath Lab/Special Procedure rooms. One of the two rooms is a hybrid OR/Cath Lab. The team covers cardiac procedures including pacers, ICD, and diagnostic R&LHC. They also handle vascular diagnostics and interventions, interventional radiology, and neuro diagnostics and interventions. The facility is in the process of seeking state approval to start an elective PCI program in approximately four months. They aim to progress to STEMI in the future (over 12 months). They are working with their foundation for funding of a third lab in about a year. At that time, team duties may be split, but currently, it is all one team working on all modalities. The facility is a certified stroke center. Candidates must possess two years of experience in the required field. A 20-hour orientation is provided based on need. Scrubs will be provided. An every-third-weekend on-call schedule is required, plus one to three times per week on call. Candidates should have skills in both scrub procedures and maintaining sterile fields. Preferred skills include experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures. Additional preferred experiences include various interventions and monitoring, such as IABP placement, Impella insertion, and various angiography techniques. Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation and SBAR communication is advantageous. Candidates will need to demonstrate accurate monitoring and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. Preceptor or trainer experience is also a plus.
