Overview Position: Cardiac Sonographer Location: DePaul Hospital – St. Louis, Missouri Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Day Shift) Pay: $32.48 – $48.72 per hour, with daily pay available. Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, payable within 30 days of start date. Shift differentials: Available for night, weekend, & additional shifts. Relocation assistance: available for qualified candidates. Apply as an external qualified candidate only. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics. Record patient test results and report findings. Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities. Maintain supplies and verify equipment functionality, reporting deficiencies. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards. Promptly submit high-quality images and documents through PACS. Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Completion of an Echosonography program. No experience required. Physical Requirements Constant standing and walking. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far. Frequent hearing and speech to share information and detect alarms. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects up to 25 lbs. Frequent lifting/moving of patients. Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects 25-50 lbs. Occasional use of vision to identify colors. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements. Rare kneeling and sitting. Licenses & Certifications State of work location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin. Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP – American Heart Association). Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) – CCI. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) – ARDMS. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) – ARDMS.
