- Case Mix: 75% CABG, 25% valve/aortic surgeries
- EMR SYstem: EPIC
- Specialty Backup Available: 3 CT/CV Surgeons
- Support Staff Available: Minimum of 4 providers per shift
- Reason for Coverage: 2 APPS on FLMA at same time
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Temporary Privileges Available: Yes
- Cardiothoracic Surgery first assist
- Endoscopic vein harvesting (Maquet EVH system)
- Licenses: Active FL license or Universal License (IMLC)
- Certifications: PA-C, AGACNP
- Experience: Proficient as a Cardiothoracic Surgery first assist
- Other Qualifications: Fellowship not required; EVH Certification preferred
- Provide first assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG and valve/aortic procedures.
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) using the Maquet EVH system.
- Round on CVICU and telemetry patients.
- Participate in first-call surgical coverage, including night and weekend call (7p - 7a).
- Work schedule of 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
