Medical Assistant (Multi-Specialty Practice)   GetWell Health System
Locations : Jeffersonville, IN (and surrounding locations)

Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant with at least 6 months of clinical experience to join our team. This role supports providers across multiple specialties and plays a key role in delivering efficient and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
• Perform clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, lab draws, and point-of-care testing (as applicable)
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR
• Manage patient flow to ensure timely care
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
• Provide excellent customer service and patient communication
• Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care coordination

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in a healthcare setting (required)
  
• Experience in a multi-specialty or high-volume environment is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of EMR systems preferred
