Position Overview The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages within a mobile healthcare clinic serving multiple rural communities.

Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff, you'll diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, perform preventive care, educate patients, and promote healthier communities while enjoying a high level of provider autonomy.

Primary Responsibilities As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Perform complete physical examinations and comprehensive health assessments.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory testing, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with Kansas regulations and organizational protocols.
• Perform preventive health screenings, annual wellness visits, and routine physical examinations.
• Manage chronic diseases including hypertension, diabetes, COPD, asthma, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders, and other common primary care conditions.
• Provide immunizations, health maintenance services, and preventive care.
• Counsel patients on nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, weight management, and healthy lifestyle modifications.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and disease prevention.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and patient safety standards.

Mobile Clinic Responsibilities This unique opportunity includes providing care through a fully equipped mobile health clinic that expands healthcare access throughout rural communities.

Responsibilities include:

• Traveling between scheduled clinic locations within the service area.
• Delivering high-quality healthcare in a mobile clinical environment.
• Preparing examination rooms and ensuring clinical readiness.
• Managing clinical supplies and medical equipment.
• Coordinating patient scheduling and follow-up care.
• Promoting continuity of care for patients across multiple community locations.
• Representing the organization professionally while building trust within local communities.

Required Qualifications

• Active Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification
• Current or eligible Kansas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license

• Excellent diagnostic and clinical assessment skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
