A busy clinic in the Baton Rouge area is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Medical Biller to join its team!
This is a great opportunity for an experienced healthcare billing professional who is looking for a full-time, in-office position .

What You'll Be Doing:
As an important member of the clinic's team, you'll be responsible for ensuring medical claims and billing processes are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using billing software
• Ensure claims are submitted in compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
• Investigate and appeal denied claims
• Monitor and maintain aged accounts receivable to help keep outstanding balances to a minimum
• Assist with collecting outstanding payments
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and organized medical billing records
• Ensure billing information aligns with medical documentation
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and insurance companies
Required Qualifications:
• Previous in-office medical billing experience with a clinic or hospital is REQUIRED
• Experience using medical billing software
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to process claims accurately and efficiently
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies

This is an in-office position. Applicants must have previous in-office medical billing experience with a clinic or hospital. Candidates with only remote medical billing experience will not be considered.
