Responsibilities: Plan and implement Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) curriculum aligned with state standards Create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment Assess and monitor student progress and school readiness skills Incorporate STEAM-based learning activities into daily lessons Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development Maintain accurate attendance, documentation, and compliance records Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support whole-child development Requirements: Florida VPK Teacher Certification or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Prior experience teaching preschool or VPK-age children (ages 4–5) Knowledge of Florida VPK performance standards and early literacy development Strong classroom management and communication skills Must pass Level 2 background screening Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for early childhood education About Us: STEAM ON LEARNING CENTER LLC is a dynamic early childhood learning center in Jacksonville, FL dedicated to inspiring young minds through science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
