INTL Bar is a neighborhood bar and music venue in the heart of Fishtown. We run a full events calendar—live DJs, rotating art exhibitions, industry nights, and community programming—alongside a well-built cocktail program and a tight, knowledgeable staff. We're part of the same family as Johnny Brenda's and Standard Tap. We're building out our front-of-house team and looking for a host who can set the tone from the door.

The Role This is a guest-facing position. You're the first person people encounter when they walk in, and that impression matters. On a busy event night, you're keeping the door moving, managing flow, and communicating clearly with bar staff. On slower nights, you're still the room's anchor—welcoming, attentive, aware.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests; manage entry and flow during events and busy service periods
• Communicate capacity and wait information clearly
• Coordinate with bartenders and floor staff throughout the shift
• Monitor the space for issues and escalate appropriately
• Maintain a working knowledge of the bar's current programming, events, and specials
• Support private event execution when scheduled

What We're Looking For

• Prior front-of-house, host, or guest services experience preferred
• Comfortable managing crowds and communicating under pressure—calmly, not robotically
• Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction without needing it repeated
• Familiarity with Fishtown's bar culture is a plus
• RAMP certification required or must be obtained before first solo shift

Schedule & Compensation

• $16/hour
• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening availability required
