Lead Welder/Fabricator

Welder/Fabricator LeadWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Welder/Fabricator Lead to join our team and drive excellence in metal fabrication and welding operations. In this role, you will oversee daily fabrication activities, lead a team of skilled welders and fabricators, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and quality specifications. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality metal structures and components that meet project deadlines and client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while working on diverse construction and fabrication projects.Responsibilities and DutiesHand and power tool masteryWork may require extensive periods of standing, bending, stretching, lifting, and reachingBe proficient in wielding processes necessary for SCI manufacturing; read electrical prints & layouts, read piping prints (two-lined & isometric); read mechanical prints; read and understand suppliers' instructionsEmployees uses initiative in conducting recurring assignments to fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal directionMust be proficient in some forms of process and tack wielding; basic electrical skills including lay out and mount conduit and pull & terminate wire; lay out, cut & thread, and mount piping systems; set and align motors, pumps, other mechanical components etc.; lay out, set, level & align furnace drive systems.Employees will be required to use overhead cranes and fork trucks to set up and/or move equipment. Will assist in loading and unloading equipmentPerform jobsite installations as part of a field team and as a team leaderAssist in the training of less skilled or less experienced mechanics as directed by plant managementPerform other duties and functions as required.QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent requiredSome level of continuing education that is related to is recommendedStrong mechanical abilityEmployee is responsible for planning and carrying out tasks or work on projects independently up to final review and decisions.May direct the work of others to fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal directionAbout UsOur company is a leading engineering company.
