Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record.Responsibilities:Comply with all safety requirements, procedures and rulesRecords all load and delivery information accurately on required documentsKeeps equipment clean and performs routine maintenance checks on trucks and trailersAlways Represent Vanguard Renewables in a professional mannerMaintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulationsFully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicleTransport organic food waste from the place of origin to assigned destinationEnsure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent damageSafely and efficiently handle and unload waste at selected destinationsAssist in mapping delivery routesStay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveriesCommunicate with dispatch as neededPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripCheck weather conditions and road reports before departureAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleanMaintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsTrack and report working hoursAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditionsComply with ICC and DOT regulationsMake safety a priority at all timesSkills and Qualifications:Being available for work at M-F for up to 12 hours but no less than 8 hours per dayValid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsementClass A CDL without the following restrictions: Manual (E), Air brakes (L, Z), Night driving (G), No semi-trailer (O), Intrastate only (K) or Medical variance (M) Clean motor vehicle record Primarily Operates within a 100-mile radius of your home, but can go up to 250 milesAvailability to work on Saturdays as needed.Minimum 2 years verifiable Class A CDL ExperienceMust have both Tanker and dry van an experienceMust have a valid DOT medical cardPass a required drug testEnglish proficiency is requiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferredClean driving record with no moving violationsComfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailerAlert, focused, and detail-orientedAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. at a timeProficient using GPS and other routing systemsAn innate sense of directionDisciplined, dependable, and resourcefulHigh level of composure and good stress managementWhat We Offer:$3,500 Retention Bonus: Receive $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days, and $1,500 upon your one-year anniversary.Comprehensive health insurance benefits, including HSA option, with substantial employer premium contributions.Competitive, employer-sponsored (100% paid) dental, vision, and wellness benefits.Basic employer-paid life and disability insurance, with optional supplemental life and AD&D coverage.401(k) retirement program with employer match and immediate eligibility.Pre-tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to support healthcare and dependent care expenses.Education and adoption assistance programs to support personal and family goals.Discretionary performance-based bonus opportunity in addition to competitive base salary.Robust paid time off supporting flexibility and work-life balance.Monthly cell phone and business expense reimbursement.Vanguard Renewables is an equal opportunity employer.
