Senior Network Engineer

Location: Clearwater, FL (Onsite)
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Senior IT Infrastructure Manager
Status: Exempt

Overview

Clearwater company is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role supports network operations, telecommunications systems, wireless infrastructure, enterprise security, and mobile/fleet communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
• Support wireless technologies, routing protocols, and network hardware.
• Manage mobile communications, fleet systems, and edge computing solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues.
• Monitor network performance and recommend improvements.
• Manage network security, access controls, and telecommunications systems.
• Design and support routing and collaboration technologies including SIP, H.323, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Administer IP addressing, access lists, and network permissions.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Lead IT infrastructure projects and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Develop SOPs, documentation, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call and emergency response support.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience.
• Team lead or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, telecommunications, and security technologies.

Preferred

• CCNA and/or CompTIA certifications.
