End-to-End Event Ownership From Proposal to Post-Event Review As Event Manager, you'll oversee the planning and execution of corporate and social catering events across New York City. That means managing timelines, coordinating with vendors and venues, aligning with our culinary team on menus, and ensuring every event reflects Green Apple's standards. You'll juggle multiple events simultaneously and be the person who connects all the moving pieces. Manage the complete event lifecycle from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up Develop event timelines, floor plans, and production schedules Coordinate with vendors, venues, and rental companies on logistics Work with the culinary team to finalize menus and accommodate dietary needs Communicate proactively with clients to set expectations and confirm details Monitor event budgets and ensure profitability targets are met Attend site visits and venue walkthroughs as needed Prepare post-event summaries and incorporate client feedback The Profile of a Successful Event Manager at Green Apple 3+ years of event management experience, preferably in catering or hospitality Strong project management skills with the ability to handle 8-15 simultaneous events Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities Experience with event management software and CRM tools Detail-oriented with a talent for anticipating potential issues before they arise Willingness to be on-site at events when needed, including evenings and weekends Manage Events for a Company That Sets the Standard Since 2004, Green Apple has produced thousands of events across New York City — from intimate board dinners to government contract events serving 3,000 guests. Event Managers at Green Apple typically oversee 8 to 15 events at various stages of planning and execution at any given time. The volume depends on seasonality — holiday season and spring are our busiest periods. Do Event Managers handle both corporate and social events? Yes. You'll manage a mix of corporate events (conferences, galas, holiday parties, product launches) and social events (weddings, milestone celebrations, private dinners). The variety keeps the role dynamic and builds a broad skill set. What CRM or project management tools does the team use? Green Apple uses industry-standard CRM and event management platforms for client communication, timeline tracking, and proposal management. Specific tools are covered during onboarding, and proficiency with any major CRM is a strong plus. Is there travel required for venue site visits? Yes. Event Managers attend venue walkthroughs and site visits across all five boroughs and occasionally in Long Island, Westchester, or Northern New Jersey.
