Pay:

• Class A: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour
• Class B: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
30-minute unpaid lunch
Flexibility for overtime is required based on business needs. Daily shifts may extend until 4:00 PM or 4:30 PM as needed.

Job Summary

The CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks and tractor trailers to transport construction materials including pipe, fittings, fabric, and valves. Drivers ensure timely deliveries, proper load securement, DOT compliance, and excellent customer service while maintaining safe driving and operational practices. Drivers may also assist in warehouse or yard operations when deliveries are not scheduled.

Class B drivers will primarily operate 26ft automatic flatbed trucks.
Class A drivers may also operate 48ft tractor trailers and combination vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles for material deliveries
• Transport construction materials safely and efficiently to customer locations
• Properly secure loads and ensure compliance with weight and safety regulations
• Load and unload materials or assist with unloading at delivery sites
• Follow delivery schedules and validate routing directions
• Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery documentation accurately
• Communicate with supervisors throughout the workday regarding delivery status and issues
• Pick up customer returns and verify materials for credit processing
• Handle local pickup orders and secure packing lists/documentation
• Verify all materials are unloaded and properly placed at customer locations
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Comply with all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies
• Fuel vehicles as required and report accidents, violations, defects, or mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain professional appearance and provide excellent customer service
• Assist in warehouse or yard operations as needed
• Support company operational goals and work overtime when required

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience required
• CDL must have been held for at least 1 year
• Must maintain required state-issued self-certification designation for non-excepted interstate driving
• Experience operating flatbeds and tractor trailers preferred
• Ability to safely secure and transport construction materials
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• Smartphone proficiency required
• Customer-service oriented with professional communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Vehicle Classification

• Class A drivers may operate vehicles with semi-trailers or trailers with two or more axles
• Includes combination vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) greater than 26,001 pounds where the towed vehicle exceeds 10,000 pounds GVWR
• Class B drivers primarily operate 26ft automatic flatbed trucks

• Combination of driving, outdoor delivery locations, and warehouse/yard support
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction-related materials
• Safety-sensitive position requiring strict DOT and company compliance adherence
