Fire Sprinkler Project ManagerSkilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with an established and growing fire protection contractor in the Lexington, KY area.This is an excellent opportunity for a fire sprinkler professional with a strong field background who is ready to take ownership of projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate will have experience as a sprinkler fitter, foreman, superintendent, designer, or project manager and understand what it takes to successfully manage commercial and industrial fire protection projects.You'll manage multiple new construction and retrofit projects, coordinate closely with designers and field crews, and serve as a key point of contact for general contractors, owners, inspectors, and other project stakeholders. A service background is also a plus.Local candidates are preferred, but candidates open to relocating to the Lexington area will be considered.What You'll DoManage multiple commercial and industrial fire sprinkler projects from award through completionReview project scope, contracts, specifications, drawings, schedules, and budgetsCoordinate project kickoff and turnover from estimating/sales into operationsWork closely with sprinkler designers on drawings, submittals, revisions, and field changesCoordinate permitting, material procurement, fabrication, deliveries, labor scheduling, installation, inspections, testing, and project closeoutSchedule and coordinate sprinkler fitters, foremen, and field crewsMaintain regular communication with general contractors, owners, superintendents, inspectors, and other tradesAttend project meetings and provide updates on scheduling, manpower, materials, RFIs, and outstanding issuesMonitor project labor hours, material costs, budgets, and overall profitabilityIdentify potential scope changes and ensure change orders are properly documented, priced, submitted, and trackedCoordinate material releases and make sure field crews have the materials and information needed to work efficientlyWork with field leadership to resolve installation challenges and jobsite conflictsMonitor project schedules and proactively address delays or manpower requirementsMaintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, schedules, and closeout documentsCoordinate inspections and communicate with applicable authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)Ensure projects meet applicable fire protection requirements, project specifications, and quality standardsSupport billing, forecasting, WIP reporting, and project closeoutBuild strong customer relationships and help generate repeat businessWhat We're Looking For3+ years of fire sprinkler or fire protection industry experience preferredPrevious experience as a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, Designer, or similar roleStrong commercial and/or industrial fire sprinkler experienceAbility to read and understand sprinkler drawings, construction plans, specifications, and submittalsSolid understanding of sprinkler installation practices, materials, fabrication, and field operationsWorking knowledge of NFPA 13 and applicable fire protection standardsExperience managing project schedules, labor, materials, subcontractors, and budgetsUnderstanding of RFIs, change orders, submittals, purchase orders, and construction documentationStrong communication skills with customers, general contractors, inspectors, office personnel, and field crewsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple active projects simultaneouslyProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and OutlookValid driver's license and clean driving recordPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience working as a sprinkler fitter or sprinkler foremanNICET certification in Fire Protection / Water-Based SystemsExperience with large commercial, industrial, healthcare, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar projectsFamiliarity with fire sprinkler design and hydraulic calculationsExperience with project financials, forecasting, and WIPOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationEstablished relationships with general contractors and construction professionals throughout KentuckyFire sprinkler service experienceCompensation & Benefits$110,000–$140,000 salary, based on experiencePermanent, direct-hire opportunityLong-term opportunity with an established fire protection contractorLexington, KY-based positionRelocation candidates will be consideredAdditional benefits discussed during the interview processDrug screen and background check required
