Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Rover Driver in Laurinburg, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post where your presence supports daily operations. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or prohibited items in accordance with site protocols.
• Support controlled movement, post orders, and other security-related operations within a regulated government environment while maintaining professional presence and following all applicable armed post requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
