Accountants One is partnering with a highly successful and growing organization that has recently hired an exceptional CFO to build a world-class accounting function. As part of that investment, we have been retained to identify a  Senior Full Charge Bookkeeper who enjoys more than simply processing transactions—you enjoy creating structure, improving processes, and helping build something lasting.

If you enjoy "planting the garden"rather than simply maintaining it, this could be an outstanding opportunity.

Today, the company's accounting activity spans 13 retail locations across 2 separate franchised brands , with responsibilities currently managed through multiple . Together, you and the CFO will centralize those activities, establish best practices, and create an efficient, scalable accounting department designed to support future growth.

This is  not a traditional Full Charge Bookkeeper position. While you'll own the day-to-day accounting responsibilities, you'll also partner directly with the CFO to develop procedures, improve workflows, and build an accounting department designed to support a growing multi-location organization.  Not only will the organization grow, but you will be given the opportunity to continue to develop and learn new skills.

What You'll Do

As the  Senior Full Charge Bookkeeper , you'll own the accounting function while helping establish the systems, procedures, and controls that will guide the department as it continues to grow including tool selection. 

Responsibilities include:

• Full-charge bookkeeping 
• General ledger maintenance 
• Journal entries and account reconciliations 
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable 
• Bank and credit card reconciliations 
• Payroll processing 
• Payroll tax filings and compliance 
• Sales and use tax preparation and filing 
• Month-end close 
• Financial reporting support 
• Assist with accounting system improvements 
• Create accounting procedures and documentation 
• Partner with the CFO to centralize accounting for 13 retail locations 
• Help build a scalable accounting department
