As an outpatient pediatric pharmacist, you will support a high-functioning multidisciplinary team that may include pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, nurses, case managers, and other allied health professionals. The facility emphasizes patient-centered care, medication safety, and a collaborative approach, giving pharmacists a meaningful role in direct patient management and family education.Typical responsibilities include verifying and dispensing pediatric prescriptions, providing precise weight-based dosing, checking for drug interactions and duplications, and ensuring safe medication use across a variety of pediatric disease states. You will provide counseling to parents and caregivers on proper medication administration, storage, adherence strategies, and recognizing side effects. Depending on the clinic and policies, you may participate in pediatric immunization workflows, complex medication regimen management for chronic conditions, and coordination of refills for ongoing therapies.The workday often includes active participation in daily clinic operations, responding to medication-related questions from providers and nursing staff, and providing real-time recommendations on pediatric pharmacotherapy. You may work with conditions such as asthma, ADHD, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine disorders, and other acute and chronic pediatric illnesses. In some clinics, there may be opportunities to support specialty pediatric populations, such as patients with complex care needs, oncology, cardiology, or neurology, depending on the practice mix.Pharmacists in this role can expect a structured schedule aligned with outpatient clinic hours, with daytime shifts and potential limited evening or weekend coverage, based on patient needs and clinic operations. The outpatient environment emphasizes continuity of care, allowing pharmacists to develop relationships with families and see the impact of their work over time. Required Qualifications

Pharmacist, Acute Experience: 2 years PHARM-MO References: 1 Reference in entire work history They do need outpatient and specialty pharmacy experience and ideally have experience in EPIC.
