About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Required travel experience Description: Looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our CVICU team. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an intensive care unit. Candidates should hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH. The RN will care for a patient population consisting of adults and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses encountered include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, and acute respiratory failure. Other cases may include A. fib with rapid ventricular response, alcohol withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR. The nurse will work collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team and uphold high standards of patient care. The position includes a call requirement on weekends. The unit consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. The nurse will be expected to float to the intermediate care unit as needed. Equipment used in the unit includes Baxter pumps, and the electronic health record system utilized is Medhost.
