We are looking for a motivated and dependable Shop Helper to join our metal structure fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn a skilled trade, and takes pride in producing quality work.
Responsibilities
- Assist fabricators and welders with daily shop operations
- Load, unload, and organize steel materials
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Grind, clean, and prepare steel for fabrication
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with material handling using forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided if needed)
- Support shipping, receiving, and inventory as required
- Perform other shop-related duties assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable transportation and good attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
- Ability to read a tape measure is a plus
- Previous fabrication, welding, construction, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
