Acute care medical‑surgical unit
24‑bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
1:10 CA-to-nurse ratio
Diverse patient population including medical, surgical, testing, and observation
patients
Common comorbidities: diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal, and psychiatric
conditions

How you’ll contribute
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:
* Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by
an RN.
* Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound
care; may administer medication.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Assists RN with development of plan of care.
- Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene,
elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
* Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to
interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

What we’re looking for
Applicants must have a degree/diploma from a practical nursing school
Additional requirements include:
- A current VA (or Multi-state) LPN license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- Experience in clinical area preferred
Hourly Range - $22.40 - $28.68
