OB Hospitalist / Laborist Physician

Compensation: $180-$250 per hour | Shifts: Approximately 12 per month

Practice Type: Women-Owned & Physician-Led Private Practice

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physician to become part of our Laborist team located on the scenic North Shore of Massachusetts.

This role allows you to concentrate solely on inpatient obstetrics and gynecology, benefiting from a consistent schedule, attractive pay, comprehensive clinical support, and a collegial atmosphere within one of the largest independent women's health practices in the area.

Position Highlights

• Compensation: $180-$250 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Shifts: Approximately 12 shifts each month
• Flexible combination of day and night shifts
• Annual Deliveries: Approximately 2,000
• No outpatient office duties
• No management of a patient panel
• No routine inbox responsibilities

High-Volume Obstetrics with Exceptional Support

Our labor and delivery service handles around 2,000 births annually , offering physicians a fulfilling mix of routine and complex obstetric care.

Laborists work within a highly collaborative coverage model that prioritizes both patient safety and physician satisfaction.

At all times, physicians have access to:

• Dedicated laborist physician coverage
• Certified Nurse Midwife support
• Private attending physician assistance
• One to two additional providers available for backup 24/7

Our physicians are never isolated in their practice and benefit from a team-oriented approach that fosters collaboration during routine care, busy periods, and obstetric emergencies.

• Level II Special Care Nursery

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
• Strong obstetrical and surgical skills
