Accountant Trainee - Telework Hybrid

Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

The Financial Services Branch is seeking a dependable, customer-oriented professional to join our Revolving Fund Unit. The incumbent works under the close supervision of the Accounting Administrator I of the Revolving fund Unit; Audits and processes travel expense claims; ensures expenditures are posted to the appropriate expenditure accounts and appropriations; processes, assembles, and forwards replenishment claim schedules to the State Controller’s Office (SCO) for reimbursement of the Revolving Fund account; prepares the monthly STD 676P for SCO for taxable reporting on travel expense claim reimbursements and reconciles records in Oracle Administrative Financial System (AFS) to the revolving fund cash card and to SCO’s records for the 047-bank account.

Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.

Open-spaced partitioned office environment. During fiscal year-end, vacations may be restricted.
