Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist - PRN

About the Role PRN position, dayshift during the week. 10‑hour shifts: 6:00AM – 4:30PM. Responsibilities Operate all routine Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography equipment safely and proficiently. Abide by and enforce all JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, protocols, and policies. Perform high‑quality radionuclide imaging and non‑imaging studies under the direction of a Nuclear Medicine physician, including administration of radiopharmaceuticals, operation of instruments, application of imaging techniques, and patient positioning to maximize diagnostic information. Handle multiple room assignments and various exam types on a daily basis. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel. Participate in performance improvement initiatives. Assist with other department day‑to‑day activities as needed (e.g., clerical duties, inventory, stocking, light housekeeping). May participate in training and orientation of other employees. Potential cross‑training in additional modalities. Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent; satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA‑approved school. Licensure: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), and licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). Certification: Nuclear Medicine Certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
