Certified by the American Board of Pathology for anatomic or clinical pathology and deals with the study of disease and disease process by means of macroscopic, microscopic, immunologic, and molecular examination of organs and tissue. Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. Serves as member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education. Other applicable duties as assigned by appropriate Leadership. Faculty Position: Section Head of Dermatopathology The Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Pathology is seeking a Section Head of Dermatopathology. The Cutaneous Oncology Multidisciplinary Team offers excellent opportunities for collaborative research and the Department of Pathology has an innovative and advanced molecular pathology service providing opportunities for translational research. Opportunities also exist to join established basic research programs. Qualifications Applicants must be board certified in Anatomic Pathology or Dermatology, have completed a dermatopathology fellowship, and have acquired years of practice experience within this subspecialty. National/international recognition as an expert in dermatopathology, including clinical and academic excellence with experience in high-volume multidisciplinary clinical practice, is desirable. Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida is required. Opportunities for personal direct expert consult case compensation are available. Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary Range $358,945.60 - $472,361.34 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job‑related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
