Vice President of Accounting

A VP of Accounting is needed to step into a key leadership role during an executive transition. This position will lead and reshape the accounting function while supporting the buildout of a new executive team. The role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment. Team & Structure Oversees 9 direct reports across U.S. and international teams U.S. team includes hybrid/on‑site property accountants Additional teams based in the Philippines, Latin America, and India Total company headcount of approximately 249 employees The majority of accounting operations are handled offshore Core Responsibilities Lead and transform the accounting department Deliver timely and accurate financial insights to executive leadership Operate with speed and decisiveness in a dynamic environment Develop, mentor, and grow team members Improve processes and enhance workflow clarity Act as a strategic and operational partner to leadership Candidate Profile 10–12 years of experience preferred Background at Senior Controller or VP Accounting level Strong experience in multifamily property accounting Proven leadership experience; international exposure is a plus Hands‑on, adaptable, and action‑oriented Comfortable in a fast‑paced, direct communication culture Must be based in the Seattle area Technical Requirements Strong experience with Yardi is required Leadership & Culture Fast‑paced, results‑driven environment with a direct communication style Requires a strong leader with executive presence Ability to balance strategy with execution and team development Competitive base salary with 10–15% bonus Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Additional employee support benefits Free parking available Interview Process The initial interview focused on leadership and mentorship The final stage includes a presentation and an executive interview Emphasis on both financial expertise and leadership capability #J-18808-Ljbffr
