Job Summary You will work as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and provide donor notification. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including using Center Physician standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility. Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation by occupational health/ER is required, following EHS guidance. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS to support investigations related to pandemic threats. Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) as directed by BioLife Medical Affairs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or a graduate‑equivalent recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. State‑required basic IV therapy certification. Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Minimum two years’ clinical or hospital experience. Compensation & Benefits U.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 - $33.44.
