Job Description

Deliver specialized cardiovascular care in an advanced clinical environment as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This contract opportunity calls for an RN with strong critical care expertise and a dedication to superior patient outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a CVICU or comparable critical care setting
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency in monitoring, titrating, and managing vasoactive infusions and cardiac devices
• Expertise in EKG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Solid assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Strong ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, high-acuity care to patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures, including those with advanced heart failure or post-cardiac surgery
• Monitor vital signs, manage medical equipment, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Implement and maintain individualized care plans, collaborating with physicians and specialists
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and evidence-based protocols
• Educate patients and their families on recovery and self-care processes
• Adhere to rigorous infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards
• Participate in unit meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives
