Water Resources Engineer

Talent Consultant Group is partnered with a civil engineering firm that is looking to add a Water Resources Engineer to their growing team in St. Petersburg, FL. Our client provides consulting services in water resources, civil engineering, and sustainable solutions to local government agencies. They assist communities in developing, prioritizing, and implementing Capital Improvement Programs that emphasize multi-objective management solutions for their watersheds such as flooding control and abatement, water quality improvement strategies and TMDLs. They conduct watershed management planning, investigation of stormwater flooding conditions, floodplain mapping, and development of retrofit best management solutions. This position will be responsible for stormwater planning, development of watershed scale models, floodplain mapping, water quality analysis and the development of stormwater retrofit systems. Projects are conducted for water management districts and local municipal clients. The candidate may function as a technical specialist, project manager, and be expected to mentor junior engineers and EIs. Qualifications: · MS in civil or environmental Engineering • PE required • 5-10 years of experience • Strong knowledge of GIS ESRI platform and GWIS standards for ICPR modeling • Strong knowledge of 1D and 2D hydrologic & hydraulic modeling software applications • Experience with ICPR4/Stormwise • Good technical writing and communication skills • Experience with local municipalities and watershed studies preferred. Preferred Qualifications: · CFM Certification • GISP Certification • Experience with Southwest Florida Water Management District Watershed Management Program Guidelines and Specification • Integrated modeling experience • Python Programming #J-18808-Ljbffr
