Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager PositionWe are seeking an Engineering Manager to join a team at an integrated facility that processes the Gulf menhaden species into fishmeal, fish oil, and fish soluble products, based out of Empire, LA.The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering, electrical, mechanical, welding, maintenance, and technical operations teams within the production facility. This role ensures optimal plant performance, reliability of equipment, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and continuous improvement of processing systems.Position Offers$150K-$165K base + bonus opportunities. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.Health, dental, and vision insurancePTO + paid holidays401(k) with company matchResponsibilitiesPlant Engineering & Maintenance:Diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficientlyPerform reliable repairs to minimize downtime and production lossComplete maintenance per equipment specs and regulatory requirementsTrack and report KPIs including downtime, production, and labor hoursEnsure regulatory maintenance and documentation are completed on timeCoordinate with EHS to maintain facility compliance and accreditationManage maintenance spending within budgetMaintain steam availability and required pressure levels for operationsOversee equipment startup and monitor fuel usage for cost efficiencyCapital Projects & Facility Upgrades:Maintain 3-year capital project plan with cross-functional team inputDevelop accurate project budgets, timelines, and documentationCoordinate contractor selection and approvals with ProcurementExecute projects according to approved plans, budgets, and compliance standardsTrack project costs and maintain accurate budget reportingProvide monthly project analysis and management updatesAuthorize CapEx and maintenance requests as requiredPeople Management:Supervise engineering and maintenance teams, including scheduling and task delegationProvide training, maintain performance standards, and support continuous improvementPromote efficient operations while ensuring safety compliance and best practicesQualifications and ExperienceBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred7-10 years experience with a minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experienceProven experience managing engineering and maintenance teamsKnowledge of the following systems: MS Office suite, AutoCad, MS Projects, and SAP(PM)Application ProcessIf your experience matches the description above, submit your resume, and one of our recruiters will be in touch to tell you more about the position and learn more about your experience and aspirations.If your experience does not match this job description, we still encourage you to reach out to one of our recruiters, so we can learn about your professional aspirations for future job openings.
