Survey Party Chief

Position Overview As a survey crew/party chief reporting out of our Overland Park, KS office, you will engage in diverse survey tasks across various projects, including construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA surveys. Working under the guidance of our professional land survey manager, you will apply your comprehensive understanding of field concepts, practices, and procedures to contribute to the success of the team. This role also offers the opportunity to engage in project management responsibilities including project research, boundary calculations, and collaboration on project planning and coordination; enhancing your skills while ensuring the quality and precision of survey activities. Key Responsibilities Use a company truck for transportation to and from job sites. Work with provided PPE (personal protective equipment). Use a company‑issued laptop. Eligible for cell phone reimbursement. Receive fully paid training, participate in the mentorship program, and gain hands‑on experience by shadowing seasoned licensed professionals. Qualifications Work collaboratively with others. Take ownership of the work you do. Use your talents to positively affect communities. Ability to contribute and work well on a team. Four (4) years of experience working with a licensed surveyor. Experience with construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA surveys preferred. Valid driver’s license with a good driving history. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
