Resident Services Coordinator
Location: Boulder, CO
Job Type: Full-Time
The Resident Services team fosters healthy and thriving communities and promotes opportunity for residents through strategic programming and community partnerships. Services focus on housing stability, education, economic development and mobility, health and wellness, and population-specific services for seniors, people with disabilities, older adults exiting homelessness, and families.
The Resident Services Coordinator will develop and implement programs and services that support and improve the quality of life for senior residents, people with disabilities, and formerly homeless residents living in housing communities.
The position involves assessing individual and community strengths and needs, designing and implementing services, and providing case management to help older adults age in place. The Resident Services Coordinator also acts as a liaison between residents and service providers by providing information, referrals, and coordination of community services.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct needs assessments to identify the social, health, and wellness needs of residents.
Develop individual service plans based on resident assessments.
Provide information and assistance with applications for public benefits and entitlements.
Provide case management and connect residents with appropriate community resources.
Work with internal staff, site teams, service providers, and family members regarding resident needs.
Assist property managers with lease and community-related issues.
Develop and maintain work plans, program reports, and outcome measurements.
Coordinate activities for interns or volunteers as assigned.
Develop, implement, support, and monitor educational, social service, health and safety, and recreational programs.
Build relationships with community organizations and service providers.
Assess program needs through surveys, needs assessments, and community meetings.
Coordinate and promote resident activities and programs.
Promote community building, resident leadership, and volunteer opportunities.
Conduct individual assessment interviews and community meetings.
Help residents develop informal support networks.
Promote communication through newsletters, written announcements, educational programs, and community meetings.
Participate in team meetings focused on resolving community, maintenance, and resident issues.
Work with other departments to develop policies and procedures that promote resident cooperation and lease compliance.
Represent the organization through professional organizations, meetings, and public speaking events.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service.
Support organizational mission, values, and safety standards.
Bachelor's degree and two or more years of experience in service coordination, human services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of community resources and ability to develop positive relationships with community partners.
Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and/or individuals who have experienced homelessness.
Knowledge of state and federal benefits, including Medicaid, Medicare supplemental plans, Old Age Pension, SSI, and SSDI.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a complex workload with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and similar computer programs.
Valid Colorado driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Acceptable background information, including criminal history.
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) strongly preferred.
Degree in gerontology, psychobiology, counseling, or a related field.
Ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver results in a professional environment.
Knowledge of community-building principles and processes.
Knowledge of mental health.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

This position primarily works in an office environment and involves extended periods of sitting and computer use. The role requires strong attention to detail, communication, organization, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The position may occasionally require lifting or carrying materials up to 30 pounds, walking short distances, or standing for brief periods.
