We are in search of a Medical Director for our Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program, which is recognized nationally for its excellence. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Deliver exceptional outpatient and inpatient care to patients with adult congenital heart disease.
Provide inpatient ACHD services at our facility and at Dignity-St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to create personalized, evidence-based treatment strategies.
Program Leadership & Strategy
Act as the Medical Director for the ACHD program, providing strategic vision and clinical oversight.
Drive initiatives for program growth, quality enhancement, and innovative approaches to ACHD care.
Ensure compliance with ACHA Accredited Comprehensive Care Center standards and work towards their advancement.
Represent the ACHD program at institutional, regional, and national forums.
Education & Mentorship
Instruct and mentor medical students, residents, pediatric cardiology fellows, and adult cardiovascular disease fellows.
Encourage faculty development and promote a collaborative academic atmosphere.
Research & Advocacy
Engage in and/or lead research projects focused on ACHD.
Participate in advocacy efforts at both state and national levels.
Facility & Program Information
We operate the largest ACHD program in Arizona, recognized as the only ACHA Accredited Comprehensive Care Center in the state.

15 cardiac intensivists
3 cardiovascular surgeons
21 advanced practice providers
Our ambulatory cardiac services are available throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, with outreach clinics extending across greater Arizona. Inpatient ACHD care is provided at our facility and at Dignity-St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, a prominent academic medical center that includes the Norton Thoracic Institute and Barrow Neurological Institute.

Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree
Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology (American Board of Pediatrics)
Board certified in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (American Board of Internal Medicine)
Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Arizona
Proven leadership experience or a strong interest in medical directorship and program development
Academic Affiliation
Our organization is affiliated with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. ACHD cardiologists hold academic positions within the Divisions of Child Health and Internal Medicine.
