Product Development (Biomedical Engineer)

Job Description

The Associate R&D Engineer will be involved in research/design/testing of medical devices.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Will be responsible for pre-operatively planning surgical cases for knee, hip, and shoulder replacement.
\n
• Will be responsible for working directly with customers such as sales representatives and orthopedic surgeons.
\n
• Work directly with the Pre-operative Planning and Robotics teams.
\n
• Identify and recommend process improvements for design, manufacturing, and evaluation.
\n
• Attend departmental and project meetings.
\n
• Participate in project team for assigned projects; analyze improvements and new product or applications and develops requirements and specifications with team.
\n
• Works within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
\n
• Effectively works with peers, project team members, and other departments in new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
\n

Location : Pittsburgh, PA

Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Biomedical or Software Engineering, or Computer Science preferred)

Experience: 0 - 2 Experience with 3D CAD and programming software (UG NX, SolidWorks, Python preferred)
