divh2Pharmacy Manager/h2pWhat Health System Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Healths pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Health System Pharmacy is responsible for providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals, health systems and other integrated healthcare providers may also consult with and advise healthcare team on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes./ppCardinal Health manages the pharmacy for AMG Specialty Hospital Houston Med Center, and we are currently looking for a Pharmacy Manager. Hours of the facility are Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM - weekends and holidays are 8AM-2PM. Schedule will primarily be Monday-Friday with occasional weekends./ppThe Manager, Pharmacy coordinates, directs, manages, facilitates, and oversees the execution and evaluates all administrative and clinical activities. Through the optimization of procedures, this role ensures consistent and efficient delivery to control costs, minimize waste, optimize customer relationships and deliver positive patient outcomes while maintaining compliance with Federal and state regulatory agencies. Along with maintain inventory control and budget, this role is responsible for staffing, monitoring staff activities, performance and achievement of individual and departmental goals./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliPlans, coordinates, directs and evaluates all clinical activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy, including supervision of refilling machines, medical prescriptions database entries and dispatch of medicines./liliPlans, coordinates, directs and evaluates all administrative activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy, including scheduling of pharmacy technicians tasks, monitoring process compliance and monthly reporting./liliImplements process and procedures to comply with regulations for medicine handling including reception and storage of medicines, inventory and expenses controls./liliManages day to day activities of the pharmacy technicians and monitors their performance to meet departmental goals./liliIn the absence of medicines, communicates with nursing, doctors and administrative areas to provide alternatives and also makes and/or supervises preparation of interveinal drugs./liliMaintains pharmacists certifications and maintenance of database privileges and access controls to medical records./liliProvides pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist./liliAssesses and maintains pharmacy inventory and executes necessary orders, including reviews, to maintain optimal supply and ongoing availability of drugs, identifying and procuring alternative drugs to mitigate risks, when necessary./liliLeads processes for hiring of pharmacy staff, onboarding, and performance management, including leadership of competency evaluations process and documentation./liliManages internal workflows of acute pharmacy, including optimization of staffing and scheduling to maintain best-in-class and streamlined pharmacy operations./liliParticipates in meetings and provides insight to hospital committees to ensure coordination among cross-functional groups./liliAssists in execution of plans for lowering costs, increasing efficiency and driving profitable growth to support strategic business objectives in the acute pharmacy business./liliAssumes responsibility for Quality Assurance monitoring and completing End of the Month reports as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliMust be a good standing licensed Pharmacist and/or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas./lili2+ years of hospital pharmacy and preferably hospital pharmacy management experience preferred/liliIV certification required/liliAbility to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation/liliAbility to see, hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionals/liliExcellent planning, organizing and leadership skills/liliStrong customer orientation and negotiation skills/liliPressure to perform in emergency situations/liliOverall decision making responsibility/liliAbility to work on call or be in an on call rotation./liliMay require vendor credentialing/li/ulh3What is expected of you and others at this level/h3ulliCoordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staff/liliAdministers and exercises policies and procedures/liliEnsures employees operate within guidelines/liliDecisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers/liliFrequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels/liliInteractions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution/li/ulpAnticipated salary range: $111,500 - $175,340/ppBonus eligible: No/ppBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being./pulliMedical, dental and vision coverage/liliPaid time off plan/liliHealth savings account (HSA)/lili401k savings plan/liliAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPay/liliFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)/liliShort- and long-term disability coverage/liliWork-Life resources/liliPaid parental leave/liliHealthy lifestyle programs/li/ulpApplication window anticipated to close: 7/6/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible./ppThe salary range listed is an estimate.
