Job Overview

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist with food production according to established recipes and menu specifications
Cook a variety of dishes including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation to meet high-volume demands
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools are maintained and sanitized regularly
Follow food safety management procedures, including proper handling, sanitizing, and storage of ingredients
Support the culinary team with menu planning ideas and ensure adherence to recipe standards
Maintain cleanliness of all workstations by performing dishwashing duties and sanitizing surfaces in compliance with health regulations
Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; dietary aide or catering experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling protocols
Skilled in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and general food preparation
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment like ovens, fryers, mixers, and dishwashers
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production is desirable
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the culinary industry
