This position plays a strategic leadership role within a healthcare organization, partnering closely with the VP of Human Resources to drive HR initiatives that support employee development, engagement, and retention. This role leads a team of HR professionals, provides guidance to leadership, and ensures the effective implementation of HR strategies that align with organizational goals and foster a positive, supportive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to HR team members
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational objectives
- Advise managers and leadership on employee relations matters and conflict resolution
- Oversee and enhance performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback systems
- Manage leave of absence processes and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Lead initiatives focused on employee development, retention, and career pathway creation
- Build strong relationships across the organization to support a collaborative culture
- Drive HR-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources management
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred but not required
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Knowledge of HR best practices, including performance management and employee relations
- Familiarity with leave of absence policies and compliance requirements
- Compassion and empathy in working with employees at all levels
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment
- Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset
- Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to build trust and influence across the organization
