Cook II - Main Kitchen Full Time

We’re looking for talented culinary professionals to support our kitchen operations and provide outstanding service to guests. Major Job Duties Set up and break down cooking stations and fulfill supply requisitions for stocking them. Assist other cooks by performing tasks such as grilling, wok cooking, sautéing, stirring soups, monitoring roasts for temperature and time, preventing charring on broiled items, and preparing chopped vegetables for sauce preparation. Observe, learn, understand, and eventually perform all tasks carried out in the kitchen by other cooks. Work in all phases of the kitchen operation, gaining exposure to each function to fully understand the entire kitchen workflow. Maintain a safe and sanitary work area. Provide courteous and friendly service to all team members and guests in a professional manner. Perform related work as requested. Experience 1 year of experience in Asian, Italian, or casual cooking in a specialty restaurant preferred. Education High School Diploma or GED and some college-level courses. Skills Professional, pleasant, confident, and well-groomed appearance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests and staff. Comprehension of recipes and menus. Basic math skills. Knowledge of company and department rules, policies, and procedures. Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in English. Certification / License Clark County Health Card.
