HR Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and executing the organization's human resources strategies, programs, and initiatives. This role oversees employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, training and development, and HR operations. The HR Manager serves as a trusted advisor to leadership while fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Leadership Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning. Promote a positive workplace culture focused on employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. Partner with department leaders to identify current and future staffing needs. Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates. Monitor workforce trends and recommend staffing solutions to support organizational growth. Employee Relations Serve as a primary point of contact for employee concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution. Conduct investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, and workplace matters. Provide coaching and guidance to managers regarding disciplinary actions and employee performance concerns. Maintain positive employee relations and support employee engagement initiatives. Performance Management & Development Oversee performance review processes and employee development programs. Assist managers in setting performance expectations and conducting evaluations. Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning opportunities. Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives. Compensation & Benefits Administer employee compensation programs and benefit offerings. Conduct market research and compensation analysis to ensure competitive pay practices. Partner with benefits providers and brokers to manage employee benefit programs. Assist employees with benefits enrollment and related inquiries. Compliance & HR Administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. Manage unemployment claims, workers' compensation cases, FMLA requests, and leave administration. Oversee HR metrics and reporting to support business decisions. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment practices. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred. Experience 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience. 2+ years of leadership or management experience preferred. Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience managing employee relations, recruiting, and performance management processes.
