Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit. This position requires a strong background in telemetry and care for patients with complex co-morbidities, particularly in stroke and neuro care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care in a telemetry setting.
• Float between various facilities as required.
• Conduct remote monitoring of patients and respond promptly to changing conditions.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including starting IVs and administering blood products.
• Deliver feeding tube care and manage central and peripheral line care, including PICC line management.
• Implement isolation precautions and wound care protocols, including the utilization of wound vacs.
• Maintain appropriate nurse to patient ratios (1:5-6).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and NIH certification required.
• Experience with EPIC documentation.
• Telemetry monitoring experience is mandatory; prior experience monitoring patients directly on the unit is preferred.
• Knowledge of CVA management and nasal cannula use.

Schedule:

This position involves a 3x12 hour night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
