Job DescriptionJob Title: Revenue Accounting ManagerReports To: ControllerDepartment: Accounting SummaryThe Revenue Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of revenue accounting daily. This position monitors all revenue processes to ensure information is accurate and completed timely, thereby ensuring customers and royalty owners are provided excellent customer service and related accounting is complete and accurate.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise the Revenue Accountant Supervisor and Revenue Assistant to ensure their duties are performed as required by their positionSupervise the monthly settlement process related to revenue accounts payable and ensure deadlines are metMaintain and monitor monthly settlement calendar for entire Wolfepak processEnsures volumes are gathered and recorded correctly and timelyMonitor/analyze suspense accountsEnsure accuracy of payments and entriesFile and pay severance taxes for various statesEnsure state and federal royalty reports are filed accurately and meet deadlinesReconcile severance taxesReconcile suspense and clearing accounts associated with revenueProcess corrections and allocationsReview/approve revenue entries and tax/royalty filingsMonitor backup withholdings account and paymentsMonitor customer service provided by the supervisor and assistantSkill RequirementsAbility to perform responsibilities while being responsible for other’s workloadsStrong, independent problem-solving skillsExcellent leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skillsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others to effectively accomplish goals.Strong mathematical and analytical skillsDetail orientedAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlinesHighly motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to take ownership and full responsibility of work product and to take on new tasks with higher levels of difficultyProficiency in Microsoft Office suite products, including intermediate Excel skillsEducation and Experience Bachelor’s Degree preferred5+ years’ experience revenue accounting experience preferred1-3 years’ supervisory experience preferredGreat Plains experience preferredWolfepak experience preferredSeverance tax experience preferred
