Kids Universe Preschool is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our team full-time. We are seeking someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. Must speak Spanish.
Position Details
- Position: Preschool Teacher
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Location: Chula Vista, CA
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Starting Pay: $19.50 per hour
- Pay Increase: Scheduled wage increase in July
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
- Follow California Title 22 licensing regulations and center policies
- Assist with classroom routines including meals, naps, toileting, and transitions
- Maintain proper ratio and active supervision at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 ECE units required
- Infant/Toddler units preferred
- Previous preschool or childcare experience preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Live Scan fingerprint clearance and required immunizations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, patient, and professional attitude
