Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2463.52 Opportunity: ER RN Job Details: • Float position assigned to the Emergency Department • Evening/Night shift hours with 12-hour shifts • Weekend and holiday rotation required • Experience working in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care • Document according to standards of care • Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care • Develop, initiate, and execute patient plans of care according to individualized patient needs • Provide patient and family instruction as directed by physician and/or clinic policy • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance • Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units and departments in support of patient longitudinal plans of care • Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating appropriately through chain of command • Participate in professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review process • Active IL RN Licensure required at time of submission • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS Facility: This healthcare facility operates a high-acuity Emergency Department within a Level 1 Trauma Center, providing comprehensive emergency care services to the surrounding community.
