Spark Architect:
- 8+ years of IT experience
- Strong background in Java programming.
- Strong Spark/Scala expertise – deep understanding of Spark architecture.
- Experience with Hadoop – deep understanding of internals of Hadoop, Hive, Oozie, MapReduce, Sqoop.
- Should be proficient in writing Advanced SQLs and expertise in performance tuning of SQLs / Hive queries.
- Kafka experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful Web Services and Spring Framework.
- Good understanding of object oriented and micro services design.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra.
- Work closely with Product teams to understand data and analyze requirements.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions with data quality controls.
- Benchmark application performance periodically and fix performance issues, understanding of Hadoop platform capabilities and limitations.
- Should have strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Experience in developing automated test scripts to help with regression testing sharp troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues quickly.
- Should be able think out of the box, drives for excellence and is self-motivated.
Optional /Good to have Skills: Agile/Scrum, Multi-location project management, Test automationPreferred work experience: 5-10 years
