Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation team in Atlantis, FL as a traveling Physical Therapist. Provide inpatient care to orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic and general med/surg populations on a 42-bed inpatient rehab unit using treatment beds, exercise equipment, treadmills and exercise bikes. This role uses Meditech for documentation. Expect to work as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes a Director, Lead PT, PTs, PTAs and occupational therapists.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required from AHA or ARC.
• Minimum 1 year current experience in hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation (IP Rehab), or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
• Ability to work varied day shift hours and participate in weekend rotation approximately one weekend per month with weekday compensatory time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1630.
• Work schedule includes approximately one weekend per month with compensatory weekdays off.
• Unit: 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. Average unit staff about 12 per shift on volume.
• EMR: Meditech.
• Must be able to work varied day shift hours.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from orthopedic, cardiovascular and neurologic conditions. Deliver hands-on treatments, therapeutic exercise and activity-based interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient progress and discharge planning.
