Position Overview On Demand Kare is seeking a compassionate and skilled General Dentist to join our growing team. The dentist will provide comprehensive care primarily through our mobile vans, fully equipped with a dental office, fulfilling opportunities to support mobile clinics, community events, and outreach programs throughout Kentucky. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, adaptable, committed to excellent patient experiences, and comfortable caring for patients from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive dental examinations, diagnose oral-health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide preventive, restorative, emergency, and other general dentistry services within the dentist’s training and scope of practice. Perform procedures that may include fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, dentures, root-canal treatment, and other appropriate services. Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes, and financial considerations so patients can make informed decisions. Educate patients and families about oral hygiene, preventive care, and long-term oral health. Maintain complete and accurate clinical records, treatment plans, consent documentation, and procedure notes. Work collaboratively with hygienists, dental assistants, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Follow all applicable infection-control requirements, clinical protocols, safety standards, and professional regulations. Help create a calm, respectful, and welcoming environment for every patient. Participate in mobile dental services, community events, and outreach programs when scheduled. Travel to approved service locations within Kentucky as needed. Contribute to On Demand Kare’s continued growth, clinical quality, and commitment to expanding access to care. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. Current Kentucky dental license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain one before beginning employment. Current professional certifications and credentials required to practice dentistry in Kentucky. Previous experience as a licensed dentist is preferred; qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with patients of different ages and backgrounds. Willingness to work in both office-based and mobile or community-care environments. Comfort using electronic patient records, practice-management systems, digital imaging, and other dental technology. Dependability, adaptability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
