Associate / Transaction Liability [Remote]

A well-established law firm with a growing transaction liability practice is looking to appoint an associate attorney into its team, based in either its New York or Hartford offices on a hybrid basis. The practice acts for insurance carriers across a broad range of claims arising under M&A, tax liability, and contingent risk insurance policies, and this hire comes as the group continues to expand its coverage and claims capability.

The role sits at the intersection of insurance coverage and complex transactional work. Day to day, this means reviewing and analysing insurance policies, transactional liability claims, and related agreements arising out of M&A deals, tax positions, and other contingent risks; assisting carrier clients with evaluating, investigating, and resolving claims; producing legal research, memoranda, and coverage determinations; and drafting and negotiating agreements connected to transactional liability claims. There is also a strong client-facing element, working closely with insurers, brokers, and other professionals throughout the claims process, alongside colleagues across the firm's practice areas.

The firm is looking for someone with 3+ years of insurance coverage, transactional liability, or relevant business litigation experience, admitted (or eligible for admission) in New York or Connecticut, holding a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
