Our workplace culture is built around uplifting people and creating a supportive environment where team members can bring their best selves to work, make a meaningful difference, and collaborate with like-minded professionals.We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team.What We OfferEmployee engagement activitiesPositive and supportive work environmentExcellent training and professional development opportunitiesCompetitive pay and benefitsPosition SummaryThe Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide individualized, evidence-based treatment designed to improve patients' independence, functional abilities, and quality of life.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.Provide therapeutic activities and interventions designed to improve patients' strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional independence.Help patients develop and maintain the skills necessary to perform activities of daily living.Provide personalized, evidence-based care based on each patient's goals, needs, and abilities.Motivate and encourage patients throughout treatment to promote optimal participation and progress.Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and exercises as directed by the Occupational Therapist.Monitor patients' responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist and rehabilitation team.Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.Promote healthy lifestyles and increased independence through therapeutic interventions and functional activities.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment provided, and progress.Follow all applicable professional, facility, and regulatory standards while maintaining patient safety and dignity.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.Current COTA certification and/or eligibility for certification as required by the state of practice.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care.Join Our TeamIf you are passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life, we would love to have you join the Bay Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing team.Interested in Joining Our Team?For more information or to apply, contact:Tracy Call/Text: View phone number on click.appcast.io Email: View email address on click.appcast.io Eastern Healthcare Group
