Senior Project Manager – General Contractor (North Chicago Suburbs) We are a leading General Contractor with over 40 years of experience in the North suburban Chicago area. Our full‑service design‑build firm handles projects ranging from smaller tenant improvement projects to large, multi‑million‑dollar ground‑up buildings. Salary: $120,000 – $145,000 per year. Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation. Defining project objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects. Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors. Meeting budgetary objectives and making adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis. Tracking project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long‑term goals. Managing risks and issues, implementing mitigation measures to minimize project risks. Ensuring all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope, and within budget. Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. Reporting and escalating issues to management as needed. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management (7+ years in the construction industry), preferably working on industrial projects. Proven experience managing ground‑up projects from conception to completion. Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies. Experience with process improvement and inventory control. Advanced time management and analytical skills. Excellent client‑facing and internal communication skills.
